25th Aniversary Portrush Cavalcade 2026

106 cars and almost 250 people turned up for the 25th Aniversary of the Portrush Cavalcade. On behalf of the committee and members we owe a great thank you to all of the entrants, to the organisers and all those who helped on what was a hugely demanding undertaking for a small group of footsolders and motorbike marshals.

We met at Colemans Garden Centre at 10:30.  During the static display breakfast was provided from 11:00 .  We hoped this year to leave in three smaller cavalcades so as not to cause traffic conjestion. 

This year was a bit special as it was the 25th aniversary of the EAOVC Cavalcade, we were hoping for a good turn out as all proceeds this year will go locally to support the Larne and East Antrim MS Society.   We hoped to get on the road early so that we could spend more time in Portrush this year.  As soon as they were fed and watered the first group left Colemans and made its way to The West Strand, Portrush for a static display.  At 4:15 we departed, in a reasonably orderly fasion, to the Hedges Hotel for our usual meal and finishers awards at 4:45. Once again, many thanks to the staff at the Hedges Hotel for an excellent carvary served to just under 250 hungry travellers. The evening was rounded off with the usual raffle and everyone home safely, hopefully before dark.
