Welcome to the official website of the East Antrim Old Vehicle Club

East Antrim Old Vehicle Club was formed in 1992 and originally based in Carrickfergus as a non-sectarian, non-profit making organisation.  Among the founding members were Eric Lynn, Dennis Higginson, John Magill, George Dornan, Mick Dowey and Billy Peoples.  The Club's first meetings were held in the home of Dennis Higginson before moving to the Courtauld’s Club.  In the summer months, beginning from April, different runs were organised taking in most areas of the province.  A few years later The Fergus Inn was opened where the Club was to find its first permanent home.  The Fergus Inn, after a few name changes, became the Belfast Loughshore Hotel.  In 2001 the Club was responsible for organising their first Portrush Cavalcade with, on occasions, more than 100 vehicles taking part and well over 200 people attending the dinner at the end of the day.  This prestigious occasion has now become an annual event with, to date, over £100,000 raised for local charities since 2001.  The Club moved to Corrs Corner Hotel in 2022 and currently have meetings on the second Tuesday of each month.
