Have a Great day.
At the Clubs Annual General Meeting last month Robert retired as Club Chairman, David Lauro was elected in his place and the rest of the Officers were re-elected with the addition of David Fraser.
I would like to wish Robert a long and happy retirement and David every success as Chairman.
As you are aware our esteemed President Donald Davies was laid to rest on the 12th November 2011. I would like to take this opportunity of passing our condolences to Donald’s family.
Donald was a well-liked member who had long associations with motor sport and the Classic Car movement and I have no doubt that he will be sadly missed.
Some of you have requested a copy of the poem that was read at Donald’s funeral. Click here

On Friday 11th November a number of club Members gathered at the Stena terminal in Belfast and the tour bus to go to the N.EC. for the Classic car show. We travelled to Gretna where we had lunch and on to our hotel. The hotel was excellent and the following morning we were delivered to the show. Click Here for all the pictures from the showAt the Show we were joined by some famous people and saw some wonderful cars
There was something for everyone from the sublime to the ridiculous
We then travelled back to the hotel where we had a excellent meal, went to bed and travelled home the next day

Message from the Treasurer
MEMBERSHIP.
Firstly what hasn’t changed.
The membership dues are still the same at £15 per year & £10 for those lucky enough to be over 65.
All dues are payable from 1st Jan 2012 & must be paid by 31st March 2012 at the latest to remain a member.
If you are a member who regularly attends our monthly meetings, you can pay then, but please put your fee in an envelope with your membership number on it, we will attempt to give you your new card on the night where possible. Please bear in mind that this can disrupt meetings a bit especially when a large number are trying to pay. The envelope system does help. Those that post it can still do so of course.
For those who pay by standing order, you have nothing to do as it will come into the account automatically. When I see the payment come in I will send out your new card. For those who still wish to pay by standing order but haven't done so yet, please get into the bank as soon as you can. If anyone needs another standing order form then ring treasurer on usual number.
Now, what has changed.
At the previous AGM in Jan 2011, it was agreed that new members joining would pay a fee of £20, which includes a full years membership. If joining after the end of September then membership would be extended to cover the following year. As of now, this is being charged. Any member who hasn't paid their membership fee by end of March of any year, will be classed as a new member & the fee of £20 will apply.
The club also has a new membership secretary. Heather Caulfield, assistant treasurer, will be taking over those duties to lighten Richards load a little. To contact Heather her details are as follows,

Should anyone wish to pay their membership fee early, then using the envelope system as explained above, bring along to the xmas supper meeting & we will happily take your cash & send out cards soon after.
Wishing all a very happy Christmas & best wishes for the New Year

Treasurer

YOU’RE VECHILE ON THE WEBSITE
Is your vehicle and maybe your photograph and some write up about your vehicle on the website? It is time it was. Please send a photo of your vehicle and yourself with some details by email to: Andy. Speaking of the website, if you take a look you can see what`s for sale, what’s going on and generally keep up to date faster than the newsletter. Also the member’s forum is the best way to express your point of view in between meetings. Again well done to Andrew Leckey for all the hard work that has gone into your website, which from now on will be the Clubs medium of choice for general communication etc.Vince.
