BELFAST-PORTRUSH CAVALCADE

(SUNDAY 1ST AUGUST 2010)

We have decided to change the day for the above event from Saturday to Sunday. The main reason for this change is that it is very difficult to accommodate the entries and the persons who attend and wish to attend. You have noticed that Royal Court Hotel is not big enough and indeed not roomy enough to accommodate our needs. It is not to say that we are changing the Hotel, no we are not. The Hotel has offered us a bigger room on Sunday and we think that there will be a better atmosphere and more space to relax and enjoy the meal and the proceedings and everyone in the same room.

If you have any special needs attaching to this event, please let us know and we will do out utmost to accommodate your requirements We realise that you don’t want to miss your day of Worship, but we had to try this method. I know that I can count on your support. We apologise for the inconvenience being caused by this change. I feel sure that you will have an enjoyable and more relaxing day.

If you have any comments, please email it to the Secretary

Entry form are available to download here. Please return your entry form AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

CHARITY 2010

Our charity for 2010 is The Mid-Antrim Animal Sanctuary “Commitment to care”, Antrim.
Patron-George Jones. Registered Charity No. XR 12834.

ARTICLE TAKEN FROM THE CHARITY’S LEAFLET.

"Our central theme which has become our hallmark is simply called “Commitment to Care”. This ensures that animals accepted into our charge are guaranteed shelter, food, veterinary care and more importantly a sense of worth and of being wanted and loved again for unlimited time, until successful adoption can be arranged. Adoption not Homing is the term we use because our care continues after adoption to ensure each individual animal is sure of a “safety net” to fall into, if things don’t work out”.

MONEY
Our annual budget has risen to over £200,000-i.e. more than £4500 per week. We receive no money from the Government. Core funding is secured through Street Collections, Donations. All administration is done by volunteers. The generosity of the public is our only asset.

ADVERTISING SOUVENIR PROGRAMME
This year we have appointed Donald Davies & Gavin Millar to look after the advertising. We print a souvenir programme for this event, and the money raised from it goes to the charity. We hope that you can help a little by asking your business contacts if they would be interested in taking a page of advertisement.

Full page £50,
half page £30,
Quarter page £15.

We would appreciate your help. Ring Donald at 9034 2999 or Gavin at 9084 8863. Your help will be appreciated. Every little help can be of an immense help to organisers.

We count on your co-operation.
